The Equestrian Designery, a full-service Los Angeles-based
Interior Design studio, was created by Diane Barber to combine
her accomplished Interior Design business with her lifelong
passion for horses and her profound appreciation for the
human/animal bond. The Equestrian Designery offers clients
an extraordinary mix of talent, creativity, experience,
knowledge and horse sense while providing professional design
services that enhance the living spaces and lifestyles of
people with horses.
has been an avid equestrian since Western trail riding as
a child with her family's Quarter Horses. She later fell
in love with Spanish horses through her heart connection
with her Spanish Arabian, Bold Brahim (Jesse) - a relationship
that eventually sent her to Spain to explore the heritage
of his grand sire, Sidi Brahim. And, that special Spanish
journey later landed her in dressage training with Olympian
Rafael Soto at the Real Escuela Adaluza del Arte Ecuestre
in Jerez, Spain.

Diane Barber is dedicated to designing with integrity and
surpassing client expectations. She combines a unique sense
of style with a 20-year design business, a lifelong art
and construction background and a cadre of talented industry
professionals to create unique, innovative, functional and
beautiful design concepts and solutions. She is an expert
at seamlessly managing all phases of the design process
and is highly regarded for her attention to detail, vast
construction knowledge and excellent interface capabilities
with architects, builders and subcontractors.
is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers
(ASID) and an Interior Design major and summa cum laude
graduate of the prestigious design institute, FIDM, Los
Angeles. Her formal education is complemented by an extensive
art background and an upbringing in her family’s Pennsylvania
construction business. The Wallstreet Journal and New York
Times have interviewed her about designing for animal lovers,
and her philanthropic efforts have included home tours and
other fundraising activities to support disadvantaged children
and animal rights causes.
